May we open in prayer?: Our Father in heaven, You are Sovereign over all, that is Your nature and You are to be hallowed; held holy and in awe. We look forward to when Your kingdom is realized here on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our spiritual bread for this time of the study of Your word. Have mercy and grace and forgive us our sins as we forgive others. Bring us not into temptation of the lack of attention. Deliver us from the evil of ignorance. In the Power of Your Holy Spirit and in the Mighty Name of Your Son and our Savior Christ we pray. Amen.
Did You know The Lord has prepared his throne in the heavens; and His Sovereignty rules over all?
In Creation God has shown in the beginning that He is Sovereign over all creation including the unconscious life, the conscience life and the self-conscience life. I invite You to come along with me as we look at these three aspects of life and how God is sovereign over all!
The Sovereignty of God In Creation!
We’ll be using as a focal text Psalms 103: verses 15-19
I’ll be reading from the Saint Stephen Scriptures and I will point out any difference from the King James Version.
The Saint Stephen Scriptures is an ongoing translation of the Holy Scriptures of God we have come to know as the Bible. It is based on the KJV of the Holy Scriptures of God while comparing the Hebrew and Greek text etc and other popular versions. The intent is to bring to the world a modern version of the Bible that is true to the original manuscripts as is humanly possible under the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God to the Glory of God the Father for the edifying of the body of God The Son Y’ehoshua (Jesus) Christ!
Psalms 103:15-19 (SSS)
15 As for a mortal, their days are like as grass: as a flower of the field, so they flourish.
16 For when the wind passes over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children;
18 To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His commandments to do them.
19 The Lord has prepared his throne in the heavens; and His sovereignty rules over all.
The Lord has prepared his throne in the heavens; and His Sovereignty rules over all!
The KJV reads Psalms 103:15-19 this way:
15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
The Hebrew word for man here is en-oshe’ (enosh) and is properly a mortal, and hence I have translated as such.

From H605; properly a mortal (and thus differeing from the more dignified H120); hence a man in general (singly or collectively). It is often unexpressed in the English Version, especially when used in apposition with another word: – another, X [blood-] thirsty, certain, chap [-man], divers, fellow, X in the flower of their age, husband, (certain, mortal) man, people, person, servant, some (X of them), + stranger, those, + their trade. It is often unexpressed in the Engl. version, especially when used in apposition with another word. Compare H376.
Continuing on to v 16:
16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
And
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
The Hebrew word for kingdom here is mal-kooth’ or mal-koo-yaw’ (malkûth or malkûyâh) depending on the variant usage and refers to an - empire, kingdom realm, reign, royal.
When referring to Almighty God I believe it is appropriate to use sovereignty and as such I have done so.

From H4427; a rule; concretely a dominion: – empire, kingdom, realm, reign, royal.
That being said, I want us to look at the Sovereignty of God.
Let us focus on the 19th verse of these scriptures:
Psalms 103: 19
19 The Lord has prepared his throne in the heavens; and His sovereignty rules over all.
First, let us agree on the definition of Sovereignty.
This is extremely important, so Please listen very carefully!
Sovereignty is supreme power:
Sovereignty is freedom from external control,
Sovereignty is controlling influence.
Therefore, The Sovereignty of God is His supreme power, His all powerful being, His Omni Potency, His Omnipotence.
The Sovereignty of God is His freedom from external control, He is free from external control, God is not controlled by any one, any thing, any place or any idea.
The Sovereignty of God is His controlling influence, He controls all by His very being.
THAT is THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD!!! Amen?
In the beginning God displayed His Sovereignty.
In Genesis 1:1 God displayed His sovereignty over creation, that He had supreme power over creation when he created the heavens and the earth.
And at the end of days when a door is opened in Heaven God will once again show His Sovereignty over creation, His supreme power when the four living creatures will say “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” And when those living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him that sits on the throne, who lives for ever and ever,
The twenty four elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for You have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created.”
I Submit to You THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD!!!
Next, God showed His Sovereignty over darkness. God showed His Sovereign Controlling influence over darkness.
He controlled darkness when He divided it from the light. And God said “Let there be light: and there was light” And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
God showed His Sovereign Controlling influence over darkness when He spoke and there was Light!
The Sovereignty of God is free from external control.
THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD free from external control was once again evident when He spoke and created an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse: and it was so.And God called the expanse shaw-meh’ (sky or heaven). And the evening and the morning were the second day.

The second form being dual of an unused singular; from an unused root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve): – air, X astrologer, heaven (-s).
Realize that there are three “heavens”. Paul alludes to this when in
2 Corinthians 12:2 (SSS) when he says:
I knew a man in Christ more than fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows ; ) such a one caught up to the third heaven.
So, the third “heaven” is where God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit dwells along with the departed Saints and the angels of God.
1 Kings 8:30 (SSS)
Hear the supplication (petition) of Your servant and Your people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: Hear You in Your dwelling place in heaven: Hear and forgive.
So, the third “heaven” is where God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit dwells along with the departed Saints and the angels of God
The second “heaven” is the area of celestial bodies of the Sun, Moon and the host of heaven (Stars and Planets).
Jeremiah 8:2 in the first part of the verse reads this way: (KJV)
2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven,…
God showed his Sovereignty free from external control when He Spoke the Sun Moon and Stars and Planets into existence.
God is Sovereign over the Sun, Moon and the Stars and Planets. He does not have to read the astrology section of the newspaper to see what is going to happen to Him today, and neither should You! When some one ask what sign You were born under say “The Cross!” They may look at You as if You are peculiar, and You and I are if we are following Jesus. But, it will give you an opening to share Your faith in Christ.
The second “heaven” is the area of celestial bodies of the Sun, Moon and the host of heaven (Stars and Planets).
So, the third “heaven” is where God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit dwells along with the departed Saints and the angels of God.

The first “heaven” is the Sky above us where birds and the clouds are, and this is what this expanse in creation is about.
Daniel 4:12 (SSS) says
“The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was food for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the heaven dwelt in the branches thereof, and ever creature was fed of it.”

BEHOLD THE SOVEREIGHNTY OF GOD!!!
God demonstrated His Sovereignty over Unconscious life when he created plant life.
God demonstrated His Sovereignty over the land and vegetation.
Genesis 1:11-13 (SSS)
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after it’s kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after It’s kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after it’s kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
By the way this totally refutes the theory of theistic eviloution. Verse 13 says “And the evening and the morning were the third day.”
Moses believed and taught the literal six days of creation.
Exodus 20:11 (KJV)
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Do YOU believe in the Sovereignty of God???
God demonstrated His Sovereignty over Conscious life when he created animal life
Genesis 1:24-25 (KJV)
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
God showed the existence of His Sovereignty over all of the birds and the sea creatures. From the tiniest bee hummingbird which is about 2 inches long and beats its wings an estimated 80 times per second to the Blue Whale which is currently the largest animal existing or known to exist and can reach a length of 108 feet and weigh in at 180 metric tons.
God’s Sovereignty exists over all of the birds and the sea creatures!
AND, Finally God Demonstrated His Sovereignty over the living creatures, cattle and creeping things and People.
God demonstrated His Sovereignty over Unconscious life when he created plant life.
God demonstrated His Sovereignty over Conscious life when he created animal life.
God demonstrated His Sovereignty over Self Conscious life when he created people.
Genesis 1:26-31 (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
God demonstrated His Sovereignty over Self Conscious life when he created people.
Has God demonstrated His Sovereignty over Your Life?
He can if You will only let Him.
May we bow our heads?
Right now You have a choice to make, to commit to God or not.
Right now You have a choice to make, to commit to God or not.
Right now You have a choice to make, to commit to God or not.
Do You believe that God is Sovereign over all creation including the unconscious life, the conscience life and the self-conscience life?
I’m not asking to you to make a decision, I’m asking you to make a commitment.
“Commitments are made in concrete; decisions are made in drifting sands of time subject to the blowing winds of circumstances or the rushing tides of life’s turmoils”

Psalms 37:5 says “Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Now, maybe You have not received the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ.
Is there anyone here today that would say “I’m not sure that I am saved,
I think I accepted Christ as my Savior, but I’ve never accepted Him as my Sovereign. If I died today, I honestly do not Know that I would go to Heaven, but I want to know for sure.” Is there any one here like that?
Please don’t leave here today not knowing for sure. If You want to see me after the service, I’ll stay here for as long as You need me to. The time here today could very well be the last chance for eternity in Heaven for You.
If for some reason, You did not raise your hand, but You want to be sure,
If You would like to receive Christ as Savior and Sovereign would You repeat after me?
Here’s a sample prayer to receive salvation:
Father in Heaven,
I Believe on the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ.
I put my trust in the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ
for my spiritual well being to save me from condemnation.
I realize that You Love me!
I acknowledge that all are sinners.
I discovered your remedy.
I am saved now (today)!
I am assured of my salvation.
I make a commitment to live the rest of my life
trusting in the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ
as my only hope for eternity.
I believe that the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ
paid the price to redeem me to you Father God.
Thank you, Father in Heaven
for saving me from condemnation.
I trust your Holy Spirit to work in me
to will and to do
according to your good pleasure.
In the name of the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ, I pray.
Amen!
With our heads still bowed,
Have You made a commitment to serve Him all the days of Your life?
Will You make a commitment to serve Him all the days of Your life?
Maybe you’ve made a decision to accept Christ as Savior, but You have not made a Commitment to accept Christ as Sovereign.
One last thing, and I’ll close with this:
If You are saved, here’s a sample prayer to commit You Life to God:
Will You pray with me?
Father in Heaven,
I commit my life to You.
Be the Sovereign of my life.
I make a commitment to live the rest of my life
trusting in the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ
as my Savior and Sovereign.
I make a commitment to live in Your Holy Spirit’s Power,
trusting Your Holy Spirit to convict me where I’m wrong,
Comfort me when I am needing
and to control me when I trust in You,
And You will bring to pass my ways committed to You.
In the name of the Lord Jesus (Y’ehoshua) Christ, I pray. Amen!
