Revelation 4:1-11 (SSS)
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in [1]Heaven: and the first [2]Voice which I (had) heard speaking was as a trumpet talking with (speaking to) me; which said, [3]“Come up here, and I will show you things which must be hereafter (take place after this).”
2 And immediately I was in the [4]Spirit: and, behold, a throne was set (there) in Heaven and [5]One was seated on the throne,
3 [6]and the [7]One seated looked like a jasper stone and [8]sardius stone. A rainbow that looked like an emerald surrounded the throne.
4 Around that throne were 24 [9]thrones, and on the thrones sat 24 elders dressed in white clothes, with gold crowns on their heads.
5 Flashes of lightning and rumblings of thunder came from the throne. Seven fiery torches were burning before the throne, which are the [10]Seven spirits of God.
6 Something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal was also before the throne. Four living creatures covered with eyes in front and in back were in the midst and around the throne.
7 The first living creature was like a lion; the second living creature was like a calf; the third living creature had a face like a man; and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings; they were covered with eyes around and inside. Day and night they never stop, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come.”
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the One seated on the throne, the One who lives forever and ever,
10 [11]the 24 elders fall down before the One seated on the throne, worship the One who lives forever and ever, cast their crowns before the throne, and say:
11 “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for You have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created.”
[1] The third Heaven; The place where God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit dwells along with the departed Saints and the angels of God. Realize that there are three “heavens”. Paul alludes to this in 2 Corinthians 12:2 (SSS) when he says:
“I knew a man in Christ more than fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows ; ) such a one caught up to the third heaven.”
The second “heaven” is the area of celestial bodies of the Sun, Moon and the host of heaven (Stars and Planets).
The first “heaven” is the Sky above us where birds and the clouds are.
[2] Y’ehoshua (God the Son, the beginning of the trinity for this passage) (Person). Realize that this is a vision and as such John has a vision of the Son of God talking (speaking) to him.
[3] After Y’ehoshua had instructed John what to do, Christ then invites John to come up into Heaven to see the things which must be hereafter.
“Come up here, and I will show you things which must be hereafter!”
Not in red in my primary Red Letter Bible, I believe it should be based upon Revelation 1:19. There in Revelation 1:19 it is obvious that Y’ehoshua Christ is speaking. In verse 13 of the 1st chapter of Revelation, John describes the one speaking in verse 19 as “like unto the Son of man”. The Son of man was a term that Y’ehoshua used often to describe himself. Daniel used the term in Daniel 7:13, “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him.” What Daniel is saying here in Daniel 7:13, is that he, Daniel, had a vision of Christ, the Son of man. In this vision of Daniel, Daniel saw that Christ came with the clouds of heaven, (the Saints) and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him.
Revelation 1:19: 19 (SSS) “Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;”
This is the third part of the Trilogy (Program) that John was to write about: things which shall be hereafter (take place after this)” – Prophecy – (Point of Time)
[4] Or in Spirit; literarily “I became in the Spirit”. Revelation 1:10, 17:3, 21:10, (God the Holy Spirit (The second member of the Trinity introduced in this passage) (Person).
[5]Revelation 20:4a : (SSS) 4a “And I saw thrones, and they that sat on them, and judgment (authority to judge) was given to them:”
Daniel 7;9 & 10: (SSS) 9 “I beheld (kept watching) till the thrones were cast down (set in place), and The Ancient of Days (God) did sit, Whose garment (clothing) was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and its wheels as burning fire.” 10 “ A thousand ministered to Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him: the judgment was set, and the scrolls were opened.
[6] Some other manuscripts omit “and the One seated”, yet this consistent with this passage.
[7] God the Father is the One seated, and is the third member of the Trinity introduced in this passage. (Person)
[8] The Hebrew word odhem (translated sardius here), the first stone in the High Priest’s breastplate, was a red stone. It was called “sardius” because it was obtained from Sardis in Lydia (Turkey). It is enumerated among the precious stones in the high priest’s breastplate (Exodus 28:17; 39:10). It is our red carnelian. Odhem is the same word we get “Adam” from, meaning “red”. Odhem is where we get the name of Reuben, and of course “Ruby”. In Hebrew “Reuben” literarily means “see (reu) a son (ben) or more precisely “see a man”.
[9] Revelation 3:21 (SSS) 21 “To the one that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
[10] Isaiah 11:2 (SSS) 2 “And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;”
(1) The Spirit of the LORD, (2) The Spirit of Wisdom, (3) The Spirit of Understanding, (4) The Spirit of Counsel, (50 The spirit of Strength, (6) The Spirit of Knowledge, (7) The Spirit of The fear of the LORD.
[11] Inferred Promise, Plan and Practice – The worship (Glorification) of God the Father for eternity.
The PURPOSE of this site is two-fold:
1. To Evangelize the World for the advancement of The Kingdom of God.
2. To Equip the Saints, for The Work of The Ministry, for the edifying of the body of God The Son Y’ehoshua (Jesus) Christ to the glory of God The Father through fellowship of God The Holy Spirit!
