Lesson 1

FYI from Y’ehoshua Christ
The title of this lesson is the same as the title of the whole study.

John was instructed to “Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter”. The Past, Present, and Prophecy.

We will be looking in this lesson at the things of the Past: the things which John has seen.
The first “thing” that John saw was actually a person, the person of the Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ, Y’ehoshua Christ!

First our lesson in Greek:
Apokalupsis Iēsous Christos
Ap-ok-al’-oop-sis ee-ay-sooce’ khris-tos’

Apokalupsis – Disclosure – The Giving Out of Information

Strong’s Hebrew and Greek Dictionary:

G602
ἀποκάλυψις
apokalupsis
ap-ok-al’-oop-sis
From G601; disclosure: – appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation.

Iēsous – Jesus; Y’ehoshua
1G2424 (Greek) and 1H3091 (Hebrew) are to be studied together.

1G2424
Ἰησοῦς
Iēsous
ee-ay-sooce’
Of Hebrew origin [H3091]; Jesus (that is, Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites: – Jesus.

H3091
יהושׁע יהושׁוּע
yehôshûa‛ yehôshûa‛
yeh-ho-shoo’-ah, yeh-ho-shoo’-ah
From H3068 and H3467; Jehovah-saved; Jehoshua (that is, Joshua), the Jewish leader: – Jehoshua, Jehoshuah, Joshua. Compare H1954, H3442.

Why use Y’ehoshua Instead of Jesus to Refer to The Son of God?
Why is it important to use the name Y’ehoshua instead of Jesus?

Number one, He was called Y’ehoshua.
Luke 2:21
“And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Y’ehoshua, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.”
If we are to take this literarily then we should use the name Y’ehoshua when referring to the Son of God’s earthly name.
Secondly, it is important to use the name Y’ehoshua instead of Jesus because Jesus is at best a shortened version of Y’ehoshua.
The name Jesus comes from the Greek translation of the Old Testament known as the Septuagint (LXX). Joshua, the English translation of Y’ehoshua is rendered “Iesous” in the Greek. Somewhere in the process Iesous was translated Jesus. The traditional Jewish rendering of Joshua is Y’ehoshua. “Yahweh (Jehovah) is Salvation”
In the New Testament, Joshua is mentioned twice (Acts 7:45; Hebrews 4:8), and in both places the Greek New Testament spells the name “Iesous”. The same holds true for the name of the Son of God. That is, Y’ehoshua (the Name the Son of God was called while He walked this earth in human form) is rendered “Iesous”. Once again, somewhere in the process Iesous was translated Jesus.

Some would tell you the Greek Iesous is the equivalent of Hebrew Y’ehoshua or that Jesus is the equivalent of Y’ehoshua. This is not true. Historically the Jews regarded the name of Jesus as Yeshua perhaps omitting the “hey” as their sign of divine disapproval, and then subsequently omitting the “ayin” as further disapproval. Even the Jewish use of Yeshua is not equivalent to the proper name of the Son of God, because it is a shortened version of Y’ehoshua. An example of this is the difference between “Chris” and “Christopher”.

Many use Y’shua thinking that it is a shortened version of YAHshua, when in fact; Y’shua would represent a truncated version of the long form Y’ehoshua with the theophoric (God) element “Yeho” removed. In order for YAHshua to be an actual name in Hebrew, it would need to be spelled in Hebrew as Yod-Hey-Shin-Vav-Ayin. Unfortunately for it’s supporters, this name can not be found anywhere in the Hebrew Scriptures. What you will find in the Hebrew Scriptures is Y’ehoshua (H3091) which is written in the Hebrew as Yod-Hey-Vav-Shin-Ayin or Yod-Hey-Vav-Shin-Vav-Ayin, or the shortened form Y’eshua (H3442-H3443) which is written in the Hebrew as Yod-Shin-Vav-Ayin.

Third names are not translated.
Y’ehoshua means “Yahweh (Jehovah) is Salvation”. Use the name Y’ehoshua to describe the name of the Son of God because that is the name He went by while He walked this earth. Names are not translated. Unfortunately we must use “Jesus” to refer to Y’ehoshua to avoid getting sidetracked when discussing other points of doctrine with those who are not aware of this teaching.

And finally,

G5547
Χριστός
Christos
khris-tos’
From G5548; anointed, that is, the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus: – Christ.
Apokalupsis Iēsous Christos
Ap-ok-al’-oop-sis ee-ay-sooce’ khris-tos’
The Book of The Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ
(The Book of The Revelation from Jesus Christ)

Next, let’s look at the line of communication.
The Book of The Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ
Chapter 1: verse 1
“The Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants things which must in haste come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John:”
The lines of communication are as follows:

1. God (The Father) gave the revelation to
2. Y’ehoshua Christ, and Y’ehoshua Christ sent and signified it by His (Y’ehoshua Christ’s)
3. Angel to His (Y’ehoshua Christ’s) servant
4. John to show to His (Y’ehoshua Christ’s)
5. Servants things which must in haste come to pass.

In the Greek the word “of” is not in the original text. The Bible does not say “Apokalupsis of Iēsous Christos” Y’ehoshua Christ having sent the Revelation indicates that this is “Apokalupsis from Iēsous Christos” even though from is not in the original Greek as well.
The context favors the subjective genitive (the revelation is from Y’ehoshua Christ)

“must in haste come to pass”

The phrase “must in haste come to pass” is often rendered “must shortly come to pass” or “must soon come to pass” or “must quickly come to pass” or “must swiftly come to pass”. The words here for “must in haste” are the Greek “dei en tachos” and are best translated as it is necessary moving or acting swiftly. When we apply them to the things that this Book of The Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ refers to we understand that it is necessary that they must swiftly come to pass.
There is a necessity that these things must swiftly come to pass!
“Must swiftly come to pass” may refer to the things coming to pass swiftly in history or the things coming to pass swiftly once they begin. In the economy of God’s time, both of these terms apply.

Dei-Must It is necessary
G1163
δεῖ
dei
die, deh-on’
Third person singular active present of G1210; also δεόν deon which is neuter active participle of the same; both used impersonally; it is (was, etc.) necessary (as binding): – behoved, be meet, must (needs), (be) need (-ful), ought, should.

En – in

G1722
ἐν
en
en
A primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), that is, a relation of rest (intermediate between G1519 and G1537); “in”, at, (up-) on, by, etc.: – about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-) by (+ all means), for (. . . sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-) in (-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-) on, [open-] ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, [speedi-] ly, X that, X there (-in, -on), through (-out), (un-) to(-ward), under, when, where (-with), while, with (-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) prep.

Tachos – haste

1G5034
τάχος
tachos
takh’-os
From the same as G5036; a brief space (of time), that is, (with G1722 prefixed) in haste: – + quickly, + shortly, + speedily.

Let us look at The Book of The Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ chapter 1 verses 1-8.

The Book of The Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ chapter 1 verses 1- 20:

“The Revelation from Y’ehoshua Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants things which must in haste come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bore record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Y’ehoshua Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed are they that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Y’ehoshua Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Y’ehoshua Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Y’ehoshua Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shining in it’s strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which you hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which you saw are the seven churches.”
